Upcoming workshops: Podcasting 101

It's with a huge amount of excitement that I'm proud to announce that Jet Streamer has teamed up with The MAST in Warragul to deliver a brand newly developed podcasting workshop to new local prospective podcasters.

Developed for those who are brand new to podcasting, our Podcasting 101 workshop is designed to get brand new podcasters over the intimidation factor that causes so many people to put their podcast dreams on hold. The course assumes zero prior knowledge or experience whatsoever, and is designed for beginners or new podcasters to take their creative ideas to the world!

A workshop for beginner podcasters.

Inclusive of both classroom and studio elements, the two hour workshop will cover the process of creating and publishing a podcast, and by the end of the session, you'll be able to:

  • Create a simple show outline, suitable for the type of show you would like to create

  • Use the MAST podcast studio to record a simple show, using good microphone technique and basic presentation skill. You'll also understand how to transfer those skills to your own equipment at home (or anywhere!).

  • Publish that show for other people to listen to.

The workshop is the culmination of quite a bit of work over the past few months in getting this all to come together, and I'm really excited to share my passion for podcasting with everyone, and unlock some of the stories that I'm sure my fellow Gippslanders would love to share.

A big thank you to Lauren at the MAST who's been a great help in arranging the opportunity to do this.

When and where is the workshop running?

At the moment, we've got two dates lined up. However if you can't make either and would still love to participate, please get in touch. We're really keen to run more workshops in the future if there's interest.
